Research on Rock Minerals and IP Response Characteristics of Shale Gas Reservoir in Sichuan Basin

As a kind of clean energy, shale gas has attracted much attention, and the exploration development potential resources in middle deep layers is huge. However, due to changeable geological burial conditions, complex geophysical responses are formed. Therefore, studying characteristics reservoir rock minerals their resistivity response helpful deepen understanding electrical reservoirs provide theoretical basis physical for development. The study based on samples from Longmaxi Formation Wufeng well southern Sichuan, China, mineral composition measured. Through inversion model, four IP parameters, namely zero-frequency resistivity, polarizability, time constant frequency correlation coefficient, extracted, relationship between components parameters analyzed. It found that polarizability gradually increases decreases with increase borehole depth. With pyrite content, polarization decreases. corresponding relational model established, it highly sensitive characteristic pyrite, which provides more effective data support subsequent exploration.
